My pride: creating a blog in just 24 hours

I've started blogging in 2004, in fact my WordPress profile will soon turn 20 years old.
I have tested many platform during t hese years but switching back and forth from WordPress as it has been the best CMS responding to my main needs and still does, despite WP Drama, a series of lawsuits and conflicts between companies which is creating much instability in the whole WordPress community members.
I'll continue workin into WordPress for sure, maintaining a project against HIV stigmaHIV I care so much about, and having applied for WordCamp Europe 2025 to share my experience with people around me - if they ever accept me, it's not certain.
But I needed an alternative, something which allowed me to write without having to worry of stylesheet, visual appearance and stuff, hard life of a blind content creator.
Bear Blog is definitely the solution fitting my writing needs best: minimal, accessible, simple, and uses a syntax I've been adopting for years, even in WordPress: MarkDown.
So happy and proud to have found it, to be up and running in less than 24 hours: on 13th January I registered, on 14 I set the blog up, on 15 I was just writing the first post! And we are currently on 17th.
Commenting is not possible, but, well, there are many other places where to discuss when I share my posts around the decentralized Fediverse platforms. Commercial social networks SUCK!
